I recently joined the Firefly Brigades regular critical mass ride. More than 300 bikes were in attendance. Different bike groups and different bike demographics littered Emerald Avenue in Ortigas center.

The Firefly Brigade is a non-stock, non-profit, and SEC-registered citizen’s volunteer action group formed in 1999 to work for clean air and a habitable, people-friendly environment in our cities.

I was with Arnel, who rides a fixie, and Rudy who also rides a folding bike. Saw several friends from the Tiklop Society of the Philippines and United Folding Bikers.

The ride concluded at the R.O.X. store at the Bonifacio Global City where they raffled off some items for the bikers.
